Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel

Hot dip galvanizing is a galvanizing process that is used for coating steel with zinc. The galvanizing process is performed by immersing the steel in molten zinc at high temperatures. Hot-dip galvanized steel has a bright and shiny appearance, which is a result of the zinc coating.
Hot-dip galvanized steel is widely used in construction and other industries because of its corrosion resistance.
The zinc coating can enhance the corrosion resistance of steel because zinc has high corrosion resistance. Galvanized coating of hot-dipped steel is very good for welding because it will not be affected by weld heat.
In the hot-dip galvanizing process, hot dipping is the main process. The galvanizing bath or galvanizing tank has a high temperature, which is above 450 °C. When the molten zinc is poured into the galvanizing tank, the zinc is cooled very fast by the bath surface. This is called the quenching process. The molten zinc quickly cools, and the zinc coating on the steel is solidified. The type of steel that is used in hot-dip galvanizing determines the properties of the finished product.
The hot dip galvanizing process includes two processes: the quenching process and the coating process. The coating process is the most important step in hot-dip galvanizing because it can improve the corrosion resistance of the galvanized product. The molten zinc in the galvanizing tank is cooled to the correct temperature by water, and the zinc coating is applied to the steel as it slowly falls from the bath surface. Zinc is added to the molten zinc in the galvanizing tank and then poured into the cooling bath.

The Quality Coated and Carbon Steel Experts

We carry hot rolled steel sheet, steel coil, steel plate, galvannealed steel, aluminized steel, and more.
We provide our customers with high quality products and services, backed by superior customer service. Our staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality service to every customer.
It is easy to use hot-dip galvanized steel for many applications, like structural parts, fences, building materials, furniture, and other household items, and so on. Moreover, hot-dip galvanized steel can be used as a substrate for painting and printing processes. Hot-dip galvanizing can produce a variety of coated surfaces depending on the process. It can give a smooth, bright surface or a rough surface.
In addition to being corrosion-resistant, hot-dip galvanized steel can also be used to create decorative finishes. Moreover, it can be combined with many different kinds of paints and coatings, including epoxy resin paints and polyurethane paints. Hot-dip galvanized steel is the most common kind of galvanized steel. In fact, most galvanized steels have been hot-dip galvanized. Zinc coatings are applied on the surface of the steel to provide a durable coating.
